This powerful design represents heroic figures in the Maroon communities of Jamaica, Brazil and Haiti.

The word Maroon is derived from the Spanish word “cimarron” which means wild, untamable and was used to describe enslaved Africans who escaped bondage. We celebrate the maroons for their bravery, their cunning and their ability to bring the powerful European powers to the table to negotiate.

The Maroon figures on the front are printed big and bold, not some tiny graphic you have to squint at. Wore it to a family cookout and ended up explaining the cimarron meaning to three different people. Fits true to size too.

Michael K. ★★★★★

I bought this because the cimarron history behind it caught my attention, and the print quality on the graphic is genuinely sharp. The cotton is a bit heavier than a standard tee, which I actually prefer.

Benjamin P. ★★★★★

Every time I wear this out, someone asks about the design—it sparks a whole conversation about the history behind the word Maroon. The fabric’s held up great through a dozen washes, and the print hasn’t cracked or faded at all.
